چکیده

Mesoporous carbon materials derived from the novel biomass of fallen teak leaves were synthesized using versatile, low cost, and environmentally friendly route. Therefore, mesoporous prepared in monolith form, followed by treatment with integrated pyrolysis both carbonization physical activation. In addition, there are detailed studies analysis on influences chemical activation processes under different concentrations textural properties, morphology, crystalline degree, elements electrochemical performance. These possess highest specific surface area 489.81 m2 g-1, a pore volume 0.293 cm3 well-developed mesoporosity. Hence, electrode for supercapacitor two system 1 M H2SO4 , exhibits high capacitance 280 F g-1 without heteroatom doping. This report provides an effective route to utilize leaves, potential benefits waste reduction production excellent serve as energy storage materials.

Removal of Congo red dye from aqueous solutions by a low-cost adsorbent: activated carbon prepared from Aloe vera leaves shell

Background: Synthetic dyes have several harmful effects on human health as well as aquatic life. In this study, activated carbon (AV-AC), based on Aloe vera leaf shells, was used as a novel agricultural adsorbent, one that is low-cost and available for the removal of Congo red (CR) as a carcinogenic dye from aqueous solutions. Methods: In the batch system, the influence of different paramete...

Removal of Methyl Orange Dye from Aqueous Solution by a Low-Cost Activated Carbon Prepared from Mahagoni (Swietenia mahagoni) Bark

This study utilized Swietenia mahagoni bark–a wood processing industry waste, for the preparation of activated carbon, and then investigated for the removal of methyl orange (MO) dye by the Swietenia mahagoni bark activated carbon (SMBAC). The effect of pH (3–10), adsorbent dose (1–30 g/L), initial MO dye concentration (10–100 mg/L), and contact time (1–240 min) were evaluated...

Mesoporous carbon derived from vitamin B12: a high-performance bifunctional catalyst for imine formation.

Mesoporous carbon derived from natural vitamin B12 is applied for the first time in organic synthesis and exhibits exceptionally high dual activity for imine formation via the cross-coupling of alcohols with amines and the self-coupling of primary amines using molecular oxygen or air as the terminal oxidant.
